Olúwafúnmitọ́ is Yorùbá for “God has given me to nurture.” I see this as more than a name; it reflects how I approach life. Through my work, relationships, and the knowledge I share, I seek to nurture growth through care and commitment.

I currently lead monitoring, evaluation and learning at Notify Health, making sure caregiver data travels accurately from the field into the systems that send vaccination reminders. Before that, I spent four and a half years building data quality systems at One Acre Fund Nigeria.

About

My career began at the physics department of the University of Ibadan, tutoring first-year students. Shortly afterwards, I volunteered with VSO Nigeria in Kwali, FCT, led teams of volunteers, and then kept the organization’s computers, networks and data running.

Each move since then has taken me deeper into data. At WAGARC and TGI Group I wrote monitoring plans, built KoboToolbox surveys and reported on programs. At One Acre Fund I programmed surveys in CommCare, built real-time data quality checks and automated slow processes, growing from coordinator to specialist. Today I lead MEL at Notify Health.

Teaching has stayed part of the work throughout. I’ve trained lead farmers, partner staff and colleagues in digital tools, and led weekly sessions for Udacity’s Data Analyst Nanodegree students.

      Oversee Notify Health’s core program data and MEL systems, making sure caregiver and program data flows accurately from field collection into the systems that power vaccination reminders and program monitoring.

    1. Data Quality Specialist

      –

      Led the design and implementation of scalable data quality and survey systems across One Acre Fund Nigeria, combining automation, real-time monitoring and analytics to strengthen MEL execution, improve data reliability and speed up decision-making at scale.

    2. Senior Data Quality Coordinator

      –

      Managed, coordinated and oversaw survey data quality management systems within the MEL department, across all of One Acre Fund Nigeria’s programs.

      • Boosted team productivity by 25% by introducing peer-to-peer skills training, making data coordination more efficient.

    3. Data Quality Coordinator

      –

      Programmed high-quality surveys in CommCare, assured data quality, supported data cleaning and analysis, solved technical survey problems with the field team, and worked with office-based staff to build MEL systems, quality reports and analysis for all of One Acre Fund Nigeria’s core programs.

      • Improved dashboard development and automation, leading to quicker and better decision-making.
      • Introduced automation workflows to the country office request-approval process, cutting approval time by more than 50% and raising overall employee productivity.

    1. Data Analyst Nanodegree Session Lead

      Ran weekly connect sessions for students to Udacity’s guidelines. Almost 90% of students who attended regularly graduated.

      • Created the agenda and notes for each session.
      • Reported weekly attendance and observations from each session to Udacity.
      • Simplified complex concepts from the program and answered students’ questions live.

    1. Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

      –

      Developed and strengthened monitoring, inspection and evaluation procedures for the maize, soya, shea and sesame outgrower value chains of West African Cottons Limited (WACOT) and West Africa Soy Industry Limited (WASI), designing KoboToolbox survey tools to inform programming.

      • Kept data accurate, consistent and available across all outgrower and sustainability programs.
      • Prepared and updated work plans and monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reports.
      • Monitored each component of Tropical General Investments (TGI) Group’s agribusiness for conformity with the monitoring framework.

  5. Women and Girls’ Advancement and Resources Centre (WAGARC)

    1. Monitoring, Evaluation, IT and Communications Officer

      –

      Focal person for all MEARL activities on the Youth2Youth (Y2Y) Flagship for Social Change project, including developing its monitoring and evaluation plan.

      • Set up all IT processes and Microsoft 365 systems (Outlook, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint), saving over $1,000 in IT infrastructure and cloud setup costs.
      • Produced periodic monitoring reports to inform and improve programming.
      • Curated a bi-weekly newsletter that kept the Y2Y network informed, engaged and able to contribute to sustainable development.
      • Led the digitization of WAGARC’s processes and trained staff on Microsoft 365 collaboration tools.

      Offered IT technical support, training and consultancy, including:

      • Private tutoring in general sciences, physics, mathematics and basic technology.
      • Computer hardware and software installation, maintenance and troubleshooting.

      • Training and mentoring in digital literacy, web development, computational thinking, office productivity, statistical analysis and online collaboration tools such as OneDrive and Google Drive.

    1. IT and Monitoring and Evaluation Support Officer

      –

      Supported program management staff and volunteers with on-site and remote technical help: systems and network administration, hardware and software installation and troubleshooting, printer setup and more.

      • Developed a new volunteer recruitment process that cut the average recruitment period from four weeks to two.
      • Installed and configured Windows on laptops and desktops to company standards.
      • Trained over 50 lead farmers, project management team members and partner staff in digital literacy and office productivity tools.

    2. International Citizen Service Team Leader

      –

      Provided pastoral support, supervision and mentoring to 28 International Citizen Service volunteers from Nigeria and the United Kingdom across two project cycles.

      • Trained and supported volunteers on baseline research: questionnaire design and administration, data collation, cleaning, analysis and reporting.
      • Facilitated weekly training on development issues, life skills and 21st-century skills.

    3. International Citizen Service Volunteer

      –

      Worked in Kwali, Abuja, in a cross-cultural team of 20 volunteers from Nigeria, Kenya and the United Kingdom on a project to improve the quality of mathematics and science education for children.

      • Taught communication, collaboration and leadership to young children through creative, child-friendly activities.
      • Carried out baseline research: questionnaire design and administration, data collation, cleaning, analysis and reporting.
